LPG the Green Fuel Cleaner burning and 40% cheaper than
petrol or diesel
LPG is a by-product of the oil refining process (a by-product of the refining of crude oil, which among others is where
petrol and diesel come from) and is also found as an associated gas in natural gas fields. Until recently, this gas was burnt off as waste, but since
the potential of this cleaner source of fuel has been realised, it has gained increasing support as an environmentally friendly cooking, lighting,
heating and automotive fuel, both in reducing global warming and improving air quality.
Here are just a few of the benefits of using Energas LPG:
Energas LPG produces very little CO2 and doesn't produce the particles which can cause air pollution.
Energas LPG burns completely without soot build-up.
Compared to petrol, Autogas (as a vehicle fuel) emits 75% less carbon monoxide; 85% less carbohydrons; 40% less oxides of nitrogen and 87% less ozone.
Compared to diesel, Autogas emits 90% less particulates, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide and 50% less oxides of nitrogen.
Department of Health statistics suggest that particulates are responsible for several thousand deaths each year and many thousands of cases of
illness and reduced activity. Road transport is the largest single source for particulates and Energas LPG can reduce these emissions by 90% compared
to diesel.
